I am very upset to find out that the legendary comedian Robin Williams committed suicide a few days ago.
It's not even like I knew the guy or anything. I'm not going to pretend that I ever thought of Robin Williams as someone who was close to my heart. But it is absolutely heartbreaking to me that someone who spurred so much laughter and joy could be so helpless to find any in his own life. Perhaps it's childish of me to say, but it's entirely unfair and I hate it.
Robin Williams was a brilliant comedian and I don't think I'm overstating anything when I say that he will be deeply missed.
With that in mind:

Thank you, Robin Williams, for stoking that spark into a brilliant flame that brought laughter and merriment to so many people.
May he rest in peace.
