Almost Heroes.... Yeah, There's More.

In a previous post, I mentioned I had started watching a show called Almost Heroes.

I have finished the series (it didn't run very long, only one season) and I have a review ready for it.

First of all, it actually is funny. And not just because a certain Colin Mochrie is in it. It's actually got funny writing and everything. It made me laugh.

That being said...........

It wasn't that great. I'm sorry, but it wasn't. I only watched it because I'm a Colin fangirl and it was my duty. As a nerd/geek, I enjoyed the fact that it was sort of centered around geeks and their, shall we say, eccentricities, but besides that..... I dunno. I think mostly the character Bernie just really annoyed me and she was just always there. SOMETHING threw me off.

But like I said, the writing itself was actually funny, in my quirky sense of humour kind of way (I've been told my sense of humour is "quirky". I don't know if that means different or weird or retarded or what, but whatever. It is what it is).

Anyways, information on Colin's character.

His name was Boyd. He's the security guard of that strip mall. He's pretty much the crazy homeless guy (which of course suits Colin perfectly), living in his van and doing/saying crazy random things. He apparently doesn't actually know how to do his job as a security guard, because when Bernie has a knife held against her throat and Boyd is about two feet away, he does nothing. Also when the nerds all ganged up on Peter and rampaged, he didn't do anything then either because "HE BROUGHT A GODDAM HORSE."

It's a funny show. Colin of course helps that, but it really is.
